About
Under the direction of the Recreation Director, the department supervises City parks, recreation areas, tennis center, and tennis programs. It coordinates and supervises all youth sports leagues and other special activities, including a summer recreation program.
New Community Center Programming
The City of Lighthouse Point Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking the talent of local teachers, fitness instructors, and certified experts in sports, arts, or “fun to do” classes to become a contracted instructor at our new Community Center at Dan Witt Park. Tennis Center

Colo Colo Soccer Academy - Monthly Training
This training program is for dedicated young soccer players who want to master the game of soccer. The primary focus of Colo-Colo Soccer Academy USA is to develop the individual skills of our athletes that can be effectively utilized in a team environment.
Program fundamentals:
- Agility
- Dribbling
- General skills
- Goalkeeping
- Passing
- Shooting
- Speed
Soccer Program: Practices are year round from August to May. The program will be based on two days of training per week. Tuesday and Thursday 6 pm to 7:30 pm and occasionally Saturday or Sunday.
Open to both girls and boys form ages 4 to 15 years old, for beginners and advanced players.
Cost: Registration fee of $175 (includes 1 month of training, 2 training shirts, 1 pair of shorts and 1 pair of socks). Monthly Training Fees of $100 (beginning on the second month)

Riptide Beach Volleyball - Beginner - Elite Level
Lighthouse Point is pleased to announce and proudly welcomes into our family of affiliates one of the finest beach volleyball training organizations in Southern Florida with renowned year-round training and extensive camps and clinics for beginner and elite club level volleyball instruction (ages 5+) .
Riptide Volleyball Academy offers daily training programs for both junior volleyball players and amateur adult beach volleyball athletes. Their youth program consists of both indoor and beach travel programs, as well as a recreational beach volleyball program. You will find them at Frank McDonough Park, Monday through Friday 6 pm to 8 pm. Check out all their programs by going to the Riptide Beach Volleyball website or contact Mike Potts at 302-383-9768.
The City of Lighthouse Point Recreation Department is currently looking for sponsors, coaches, and volunteers to assist with our Youth Sports Programs.
Sponsor Information
The Recreation Department has a $300 plus sponsorship program that allows your business to have a 4' by 5' banner displayed at our City parks during the sports season. These sponsorships help our programs tremendously and we greatly appreciate the support!

Coach & Volunteer Information
We are in need of adult volunteers to help with our sports leagues. The City is restructuring the youth sports leagues to increase player participation, but we need your help! We are looking for kid-loving individuals who can commit 2 days a week to coach our sports teams. The City will provide team equipment and coaching support.
