2021 Officer of the Year

Congratulations to Officer Cole Hansen who was selected as the 2021 Lighthouse Point Police Officer of the Year.

Officer Cole Hansen has been with the Lighthouse Point Police Department for two years and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division. He is a progressive Police Officer who has demonstrated an excellent work ethic and a high level of vigilance, professionalism, and collaboration during his patrol duties with fellow officers. His sensible approach to policing has proven to be instrumental to our success in preventing and solving criminal activity, and keeping our residents safe.

 During the past year, Officer Hansen has been responsible for several significant arrests and played a key role in intercepting criminals and preventing crimes from occurring in Lighthouse Point. Officer Hansen also played a key role in the life-saving efforts of several individuals who were overdosing from illegal narcotics.

Officer Hansen has demonstrated he is a true team player with an excellent attitude, passion for his work, and a willingness to go out of his way to assist his fellow officers. It is for these reasons that he has been selected as our 2021 Police Officer of the Year!
