Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Services 

As a reminder:

  • Please bag all of your trash. All trash must be placed inside your new black garbage cart
  • Place your cart at the edge of your driveway by 7 am, NOT in the street
  • Carts must be THREE (3) FEET from parked cars, mailboxes or fencing with cart wheels facing toward your home.

Smaller trash carts are available in 65-gallon or 35-gallon sizes.

Additional carts (3 or more) are available for a fee of $90.00

Collections

Household Garbage and Bulk Trash are collected twice a week, including every holiday except Christmas Day. Regular collection may be interrupted during hurricane warnings. Be sure to check the City website for special instructions.

Please do not place recyclable materials, garbage, or bulk trash, other than vegetative matter, for pickup prior to 3 pm the day before the scheduled pick up, and retrieve the containers no later than 9 pm the day of the scheduled pickup. Place your containers at the curb on collection day by 7 am. Please wrap sharp objects and place them in a bag before inserting into the garbage container. Large pieces of glass and mirror must be wrapped in cardboard.

Disabled or Elderly Assistance

If you are disabled or elderly and cannot bring your household garbage to the curb, please call the Public Works Department at 954-946-7386 to request a side-yard pickup.

For missed household garbage pickup or bulk trash/yard waste pickup, please contact Waste Management at 954-974-7500, and select option 1.
