Closed Home Program

One of the services the Lighthouse Point Police Department offers to our residents is a Vacation Watch, or Closed Home Watch. With the Vacation Watch, you can leave your residence knowing the Lighthouse Point Police Officers will be looking after your home for you. While you are out of town, a police office will conduct checks of your home periodically. The program also gives us the ability to quickly contact you should any issue arise. 

Submitting this request does not remove your responsibility as a homeowner from making every attempt to protect your property while you are away. Don't forget to secure all doors and windows, put timers on your lights, stop mail and newspaper service, and etc. 

There are two ways to register for this program:

  1. Online Submission Form. This form allows you to enter all applicable information. Upon completion, a submit button will automatically upload the completed form to the Police Department for processing. This method insures the quickest entry into our system.
  2. Downloadable Closed Home Request Form. This form is for those who do not wish to or do not have the ability to submit the Home Watch request via the available online form. When completed, print the form and bring it to the Lighthouse Point Police Department with your photo ID for processing.
